Reichardia famarae is a little part of the stone flora,with a woody trunk and denses rosettes. It is known as Lechuguilla de Famara. This species is included in the Catalogue of the Threatened Species of the Canaries Islands, as sensitive to the alteration of his habitat.
Convolvulus lopezsocasi o Corregüela belongs to the group of species endemics of climbingfreightage. It distinguishes itself from the other similar species by its inflorescences, which have 3 to 6 delicate flowers, rosy corolla. The leaves hojas are 4,5-6 cm in length and are scarcely glandular.
Limonium papillatum o sigufreuia de Famara is a flower-bearing branch , with basales leaves . It has blue little flowers with rosy bracts. You can find this plant especially in the low zones of Lanzarote « riscos de Famara”.
Mesembryanthemum crystallinum is a greasy low plant and has large green leaves. When the summer approximate, the leaves will downsize and take a purple color. The plant has also white flowers which can be a little rosy, up to 3 cm of diameter.
The Aeonium Lancerottense or bejeque de malpaís reaches 40 cm from high up. It grows in the cracks between lava blocks. The plant has brittle stem,fleshy leaves, a light-green colour and it has numerous rosy flowers. The plant can be found in the zone of Haría and in the central part of the island of Lanzarote.
Magarza de Lanzarote is a bush from 40 to 150 cm, with entire or divided leaves and had yellow colour ligules. The plant can be found especially in the cliffs in the Famara zone,Pena del Chache, Haría and sometimes in the interior of the island, between Arrecife and Famara.
Tabaiba salvaje-higuerilla o Morisca has yellow-green flowers which contain a very poisonous substante. It has a Measure from 30 to 80 cm and has narrow green leaves, from 4 to 6 cm in length. Altough it is a Canaries species very common in the oriental islands, nevertheless in Lanzarote its shape distinguishes itself by his wide and attractive bracts.
Tajinaste is the name of a bush with lanceolate leaves which can be 2 meters . The beam has thorns with a wide base, flat disks and limited thorns at the edges. The flowers of this bush are white with pale blue stripes in the form of a wide funnel. It shows a large and dense inflorescence.
Uvilla or Babosa is a succulent bush with woody branches and articulate basic.The plant is fleshy and brittle,and can be up to 60 cm high. It has cylindrical leaves which are green or yellow. The flower is featured by its spherical fruit.
Lycium intricatum or Espino : Is a thorny bush up to about 2 m, with short, fleshy and green leaves.It has purple stube shaped flowers,with lobes measured 2-3 mm and a calyx of 1,5-2 mm. The filaments of the stamens and anthers are hairless are not convergent. The Fruits are a little spherical,fleshy and orange. They are known as” the thorn of the sea”.
Nicotiana Glauca or also called Mimo or Bobo is a bush of 2 a 4 meter high. The plant was originally introduced as a spice. It is persistent, green and fleshy leaves with yellow flowers blooming throughout the year.The plant is spread over the entire island of Lanzarote.
